Ting Zhang

Ting Zhang , PhD, is an Associate Professor, Master’s Supervisor, and Head of the Digital Media Department at the School of Design and Art, Shanghai Dianji University. She is also a committee member of the Design Ergonomics Division of the Chinese Ergonomics Society.

Dr. Zhang earned her undergraduate degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and her doctorate from Tongji University, during which she spent a year as a visiting scholar at Brunel University London. Her research focuses on digital media art, visual communication, and inclusive design.

In her academic work, she has led three provincial and ministerial-level projects, including those funded by the Shanghai Art Science Planning and the Shanghai Educational Science Research programs. She has also participated in three additional provincial-level projects, published one monograph, authored over 40 academic papers, and obtained eight utility model and design patents. In teaching, Dr. Zhang has received numerous accolades, including Second Prize in the National Digital Creativity Teaching Skills Competition, Second Prize in the Textbook and Teaching Aid Category of the China Creative Ideas Competition, the Excellence Award in the National University Blended Teaching Design Innovation Competition, and the Grand Gold Award in the Provincial Oriental Creativity Star Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition.
